God’s Love

Its was a beautiful morning spring morning birds were singing sun was peeking over the horizon I was already sipping my coffee with my bible on my lap I opened to

Ephesians 3:14-21

14 For this reason I bend my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner self, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled to all the fullness of God. 20 Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, 21 to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.  (NSAB) translation

As I was reading this I asked my Heavenly Father, show me how much you love me, show me your love.

I just kept thinking about it all day, about the width and length and height and depth, of God’s love

That afternoon I decided to go to our local art studio because I heard they have new pieces on display

When I arrived excitement rose up inside of me, I love art, the time and detail, the creativity that it takes to paint, sculpt

I open the door step inside, the room is set up with paintings, sculptures all around the room but my eyes are drawn to a painting they had hanging from the ceiling in the center of the room, it was an abstract painting with beautiful pinks, blues, yellows, purple there is something about it I just have to get closer as I’m walking towards the painting I was like I stepped into another dimension everything disappeared but this painting I kept walking and it became alive all the colors looked like they were shimmering, dancing on the canvas as I walked to the right side to see more of the painting the colors changed and green, orange, were added I walked to the left side more colors appeared every where I looked the painting was alive and moving, and colors being added and I could not get enough I just wanted to stay and keep looking moving around every angle and keep seeing new designs.

And then the experience was over and I was standing in front of the painting again, Everything was back like it was, the people, the rest of paintings, sculptures back like nothing had happened.

I just stood there in awe! God what was that?

And God told me this is my Love, My people need to know my love the width and length and height and depth, seek my kingdom and find everything my love, mercy, joy, peace, there is always more to find never stop looking for my love.

Our Past

I enjoy watching movies to the point where I sometimes have to discipline myself and not allow myself to watch any for awhile. The thing I enjoy so much about movies is the underlining story and lesson they are trying to bring out in the movie, and Yes there are a lot of great movies and bad ones out there. And I have plenty of favorites that I could rewatch and not get tired of them. This post I want to share a little lesson that is close to my heart and have had to do multiple times and still pieces come up that I forgot about, I noticed while watching. The Lion King. Who doesn’t love the movie? Especially the Circle of Life, song introduction that’s my Daughters favorite. Anyway My Daughter wanted to watch The Lion King a couple of days ago so I decided to sit down and help her and a part that stood out to me was the part where Simba had met with Nala again and she was trying to convince him to come home with Her and rule in His rightful place as King and Simba just couldn’t bare the idea of having to face everybody, that’s when Rafiki got Simba to follow him and showed him his reflection and reminded Him of His Father Mufassa, and Mufassa told him to Remember as he faded away. And Simba was left sitting in the field by myself, And Rafiki approached Simba, The part I enjoyed so much was this.

Rafiki… What was THAT? The weather Pbbbah! Very peculiar Don’t you think?

Simba…. Yeah. Looks like the winds are changing.

Rafiki… AHHH. Change is good.

Simba…. Yeah. but its not easy. I know what I have to do. But going back means I’ll have to face my past. I’ve been running for so long.

Rafiki… (Whacks Simba on the head with his staff)

Simba… Oww! Jeez-- What was that for?

Rafiki… It doesn’t matter, it’s in the past!

Simba… Yeah! But it still hurts.

Rafiki… Oh yes the past can hurt . But the way I see it, you can either run from it, or.. learn from it.

Rafiki… ( Swings his staff at Simba again, this time Simba ducks)

Rafiki… Hah. You see! So what are you going to do?

Simba… First I’m going to take your stick.

Rafiki… NO, no, no, no! not the stick! (Rafiki picks up the stick and Simba runs off)

Rafiki… Hey, where are you going?

Simba… (Shouts back) I’m going back!

Rafiki… Good! Go on! Get out of here!

So what is my point I want to make here? We all have a past, we all have hurts, we can either run from them our whole life or we can go back and find healing in them and learn from them because we will never truly be able to live life to the fullest if we keep dragging all our past mistakes and regrets with us.

In John 10:10 (Jesus says) The thief comes only to steal kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

How can we truly enjoy peace, and happiness, if we don’t let Jesus come in and forgive our past sins? And we need to forgive ourselves, or maybe there is a person in our live that hurt us and they never apologized we need to forgive them anyway to bring healing to our past wounds to truly move forward in life. Does it hurt? Yes! But the joy that follows is so worth it!

Do Black Lives Matter

As all this talk is going around whether black lives matter or not, If you don’t believe in it you are racist, If you don’t support it you are racist, If you don’t care you are racist.

I would like to share what the Lord laid on my heart about the matter. I had a dream and I was asked the question if I believe Black lives Matter? And my answer was, All Hearts Matter and then I woke up. I couldn’t shake it from my mind, and as I kept thinking about it, the Lord brought a few scriptures to my mind and the first one was:

2 Corinthians 5:15 And He (Jesus) died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him (Jesus) who died for them and was raised again.

The second one was;

Matthew 23:25 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.

Matthew 23:26 Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and the outside will be clean.

So as these verses are going through my mind, I believe the Lord was telling me that by picking one skin color we are being racist if we hold one to a higher value than the other. We are deciding who is important and who isn’t. What about a Husband and Wife where one has black skin the other has white? Is one more valuable than the other? No!

On the inside they both have a heart, and Jesus died for both hearts, so they both are of same value to Jesus. Their hearts are the same color, so I believe our biggest problem is we forgot how to see peoples’ hearts. We only see with our physical earthly eyes, and we stopped seeing people as Jesus does, that everyone has a soul and heart and he (Jesus) is fighting for both.

Going forward with these words in my heart I pray that as a Christian woman that through all the evil in the world, I would see people through the eyes of Jesus, that we are all broken and hurting people in need of love from one another, that we are here to help one another along the way. So whatever your skin color is, I love you! I hope and pray you are blessed by these words and know that most of all Jesus Loves you so deeply that he died for you, and that you would have freedom and be healed from this broken world.

The Void Within Us

As we grow up we grow out of our innocents we realize that something is missing in our life. For some it means chasing boys, girls, money, parties, nice houses, cars, sex, drugs, drinking, anything that makes us feel better for a little while. But still we are not happy. Then the thoughts of if only’s fill our heads. If only i was married i’d be happy, If only I had more money, If only i had a nicer house, If only I was skinnier. We work and work till we achieve one of our goals and then realize that we still aren’t happy and a piece is missing within us.

So if you look at a car there are so many different kinds out there and if you have a Ford and something breaks you have to put Ford products back in to fix, And thats how we are as people, we are created by God.

Psalms 139:14 I praise you because i am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

And as the waves of life hits us pieces of us break and in order to be fixed we need Jesus to fill our hearts and fill that empty void with in us, and know that only Jesus can bring us true joy in this crazy ride called life.

God is the missing piece
